About Kamalame Cay

There are 27 individually-furnished cottages, bungalows and Balinese-style beach houses, decorated in a bright and airy style. Cool off in the sea breeze on your private veranda, and enjoy in-room amenities including air conditioning, Bose sound system, Nespresso machine, tea selection, mini bar, in-room safe and Molton Brown toiletries. You also have your own golf cart to get around the island. The beautiful Beach Bungalows feature an outdoor shower and bath, while the Pigeon Plum Cottage Suite has a kitchenette. Beach Rooms can interconnect with Beach Suites to create a larger space for families and groups, and there is a collection of stunning villas ranging from one to four bedrooms.

Kamalame Cay is the antidote to our hectic and hyper-connected modern world, an idyllic private island retreat where you have the powder-white sands almost to yourself. The beautiful cottages and bungalows are the epitome of beach house chic, all whitewashed woods and bursts of bougainvillea, and the sublime spa sits perfectly poised above the turquoise waters. This is a place where barefoot luxury meets bountiful nature: the barrier reef just offshore teems with tropical fish, while unspoilt Andros island is home to iguanas, flamingos, sea turtles and more.

Best Time to Travel to Kamalame Cay

The Bahamas, a tropical paradise in the heart of the Caribbean, is a destination that beckons visitors with its stunning natural beauty and vibrant culture.

The best time to visit the Bahamas is during the winter months, from December to April, when the weather is pleasantly warm and dry. This season offers perfect conditions for basking in the sun on the famous white-sand beaches, swimming in the crystal-clear turquoise waters, and indulging in water sports like snorkeling and scuba diving.

If you prefer fewer crowds and lower prices, consider visiting in the shoulder seasons of late spring (May and June) and early autumn (September and October). During these months, the weather is still pleasant, and you can enjoy a quieter island experience.

However, be mindful of the hurricane season, which officially runs from June to November. While hurricanes are not guaranteed, it's advisable to check weather forecasts if you plan to visit during this time and consider purchasing travel insurance for added peace of mind.

No matter when you choose to visit the Bahamas, you'll be greeted with the warm hospitality of the Bahamian people, the rhythmic sounds of Junkanoo music, and the opportunity to savor delicious local cuisine. Whether you seek relaxation on the beach, thrilling water adventures, or cultural exploration, the Bahamas offers it all in a picturesque island setting.
